We have been using Firebird since 2003. Viasoft Informática is a company that develops software E.R.P. Our area is Agro business, Industry, Accountancy Office and Commerce. The metadata of the database is around 37Mb. Today, there are more than 3000 people using our application with Firebird. Some customers's databases are about 1.2Gb.
Why we use Firebird
We use Firebird because it is the best open source database. We have evaluated many database managers and believe that firebird is the best one. Other reasons we chose Firebird is the reliability, the performance, the easy management and constant evolution and improvement of it.
