Auction-Tracker has been re-designed with Firebird as the database. Auction-Tracker v6.00 is the beginning of our 3rd generation release of The Tracker-Series Event Fundraising Software Suite. The other 3 applications in the suite are scheduled for re-design and incorporation of Firebird in 2009.
Why we use Firebird
The first and second generation suites were written in FoxPro which was ultimately acquired by Microsoft and re-designed as Visual FoxPro. At the request of our users, we have moved to non-Microsoft development tools to provide applications that are cross-platform and more robust.
