Usage of Firebird
We have been using Firebird V1.5 since Jan 2005 The size of the database is now about 50MB. There are between 1 to 10 clients in the branch office. The database is designed to be shared by users on a network or in a stand alone environment.
Why we use Firebird
It is powerful database. There are many features that impressed us to adopt Firebird, to list a few:

- It runs on both Windows(Win98, WinNT, Win2K, WinXP) and Linux(Cross Platform)
- It can run either as embedded server or as a stand alone server
