Firebird 2.5.x is no longer maintained by Firebird Project. However, if you want support for older versions of Firebird to use with your applications, you can contact IBPhoenix directly.
Note
The recommended Linux kernel version is 2.6.34 and glibc should be version 2.12 or higher. Minimum - kernel 2.6.27 and glibc 2.7.
Note
Because the use of libstdc++ is now deprecated MacOSX users should be aware that Firebird 2.5.8 will run only on MacOSX 10.9 or higher versions. If you want to use an earlier version of OSX you will need to use an earlier version of Firebird.
