Houston, we have a problem.
Despite some successes, the problem is still not satisfactorily resolved. We just manage to barely keep up.
And by all signs, it will not be resolved anytime soon.
WHY?
It's NOT an engineering problem.
It seems that we still do NOT understand the problem enough.
Like we didn't succeeded to create the artificial intelligence because we still do not understand the nature of intelligence.
Although analysis of functional systems and their imitation led to partial success, for example, progress in brain research and social behavior led to progress in robotics, specifically autonomous robots.
We build solutions on incomplete or possibly incorrect fundametals.

The information is the result of processing, retrieval, manipulation and organization of data in such a way that enhances knowledge of recipient.
Data < Information < Knowledge
Information as message (or sensory input)
Information as records
Information as an influence which leads to a transformation (two variants defined by whether conscious mind to perceive is required or not)
Information as representation (structure or pattern) and complexity
Information as phisical property.
Growing trend in physics is to define the physical world as being made of information itself (information could be thought of as interchangeable with energy)
What really is the bloody Information?

...and context plays a key role.
The basic property of the Universe is change, and Information is the carrier.
Living organism is an information structure that's converting energy to replicate, maintain, encode, decode, process and increase information.
The data are information coded (materialized) in specific context.
Information == Data
Knowledge is the result of the integration of information into a primary information.
I.e. possible outcome of spontaneous interaction of compatible data.
A new field of science that seeks a deeper connection with the fundamental laws of physics with laws for information and probability.
Is closely related to many areas of modern science, such as information geometry, quantum computers, bioinformatics and information theory of brain, chaos theory, evolutionary theory, but also as number theory and mathematical logic, interpretative problems in quantum mechanics and statistical physics, some cosmology questions, etc.
Information physics is promising for building a unified theory, which in addition to the synthesis of various areas of theoretical physics offers a number of overlaps with other areas. It is therefore a form of so-called "theory of everything".
